This is a hack you can do easily.

1080p HD WIFI Camera - TEMU - under ten bucks

An old fashioned piece of pipe, 1 inch round - no cost

1 inch bracket clamps = 2 - 50 cents

Climb the ladder and mount it at the back of your home overlooking the roof. Free, except the ladder, if you don't own one borrow the neighbors ladder to do the job.

Go online and find a WIFI camera open source app. Free, and add the camera (It will do a search and the camera will pop up)

Bang, you have your camera...
